She has successfully discharged orders made without the other party’s knowledge and assisted clients seeking protection from harassment and abusive partners or family members.

Child Arrangement Orders – Rugena has extensive experience dealing with local and national courts in applications for child contact and residence. She has an excellent success rate in obtaining contact and residence orders and can assist clients in putting forward their case to obtain the best possible outcome.

Parental Declaration Applications – Rugena deals with child maintenance disputes, child maintenance agreements and parentage disputes. She has assisted unmarried fathers and blended families in obtaining declarations of parentage.

Divorce – Rugena is very experienced in both defended and undefended divorce cases, including nullity of marriage and jurisdictional disputes relating to overseas divorce. She has an excellent track record in obtaining divorces for uncooperative spouses, and amicably agreed separations.

Domestic Violence – Rugena is highly experienced in cases involving domestic violence and can assist clients who are victims of abuse with protection orders, warning letters to abusive partners, and regulating the use of a family home.

Achievements:

Rugena holds an LLB, a Legal Practice Course qualification, and a Master’s in Law. She is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales. She joined Adam Bernards in September 2026.
